maati brings our "enchanting kalamkari" series!
'kalam' literally means 'pen' and 'kari' is 'artwork'. kalamkari is an artform where the artists mainly draw their inspiration from hindu mythology using free hand artwork and detailed using naturally extracted colours.
each piece of art on our dupattas is truly unique. pair them with plain silk or cotton kurtas for any occasion!
all our dupattas are hand drawn by highly skilled artisans from srikalahasti, andhra pradesh.
*each dupatta is hand drawn with reed pen, dipped in ink derived from vegetable dyes. this dupatta is treated in solution of cow dung, milk & water. due to the 9-10 step processes, there may be mild variations in the final colour of the ink & base fabric*

if you chose to wash before dryclean, please follow instructions.
~ wash separately in cold water.
~ do not soak or scrub hard with brush.
~ use mild detergents like baby shampoo.
~ do not wash with bleach or chlorine.
~ dry in shade or diffused light.
~ natural reds, indigos & blacks may tend to rub or bleed. this is an inherent quality of natural dyes.
~ all our printed fabrics are hand dyed and/or hand printed in batches. mild variations may occur. this is not a defect.
~ handwoven and woven fabrics have an inherent nature of slubs. do not try and remove them.
